BARNABAS MINISTRY zoom SESSIONS
Beth Rapha is pleased to announce the social media launch of the Barnabas Ministry, which is our New Converts discipleship program under Church Life!
Keeping in line with the scriptures as it relates to Barnabas as a teacher and great encourager of
the brethren, this ministry is designed to strengthen the new convert in his or her relationship
with the Lord. If you just got saved and want to know what to do, this class is for you! If you have been saved for a while and want to really learn what the Bible teaches, we welcome you aboard! If you want a place to ask questions so that you can understand the Scriptures, we welcome you!
This discipling is primarily done through a yearly curriculum, theme and classes along with
scriptures to support it. God’s Word is our foundation, with the ministry of the Holy Spirit,
Prayer, Accountability, Videos, Podcasts, and Articles that will help the new convert grow in
their relationship with Christ, bear fruit, and disciple others.
Join us every Wednesday on Zoom from 7-7:45 p.m. Questions? Email barnabas@bethrapha.org. We look forward to seeing you there!
BARNABAS MINISTRY SESSIONS ON ZOOM
Who was barnabas?
And why was he important to the life of the Church?
15 And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:
21 And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,
And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,
For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.
But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.
22 Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.
23 Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.
24 For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.
As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
2 When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.
12 Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.
25 It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
26 Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
36 And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,
37 Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles' feet.
