December 2020

To Bereaved Families,

So here we are, winding down the end of the year and so much has transpired. So many stories of good news, not so good news and everything in between. Our emotions have been on a roller coaster that seems endless. And losing a loved one during this time could be hard to process during the season of Christmas. So, what do you do? You can take your feelings to a loving God Who can sort them out with the Word of God. The Bible says, “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you” (1 Peter 5:7).

Our feelings can sometimes warp our sense of what God is doing in our lives and the lives of others. We have to activate our feelings to faith, hope and look through the lens of God for understanding. It’s ok to wish our loved ones were still with us and grieve healthily. God said, “and the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7). Every circumstance is an opportunity for you to trust God and allow His purpose to be fulfilled. “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you” (1 Thessalonians 5:18). God will heal your heart and make you to have joy in Him. “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds” (Psalm 147:3).

Jesus truly is the Reason and all that you need in this season. We are praying for you and if you need anything, please do not hesitate to ask.

Sincerely,
